Our factory and office is located in Erith Kent, where we can undertake a wide range of manufacturing services.


Our current machining capabilities include CNC Turning, CNC Milling, centre lathe turning conventional milling, surface grinding and drilling, other services we provide are welding, brazing and fabrication.

Our Services

At I.G. Engineering Ltd we offer an extensive range of manufacturing services. Our flexibility allows us to offer companies of all sizes the complete service. Our conventional well equipped tool room caters for all types whether it be prototypes, 1 offs, Jigs and fixtures or large scale production runs, we aim to fill all requirements.  We also offer a repair and maintenance service. Our current machining capabilities include CNC turning and milling, centre lathe turning, conventional milling, surface grinding, drilling, sawing, welding, brazing, fabrication, assembly. We work with a wide range of materials – brass, copper, aluminium, phosphor bronze, aluminium bronze, stainless steel, tool steel, mild steel, cast iron, cast aluminium, cast steel, nylon, PTFE, Perspex, tufnol and more.

Power Networks

For the past 30 years we have provided the high voltage cable industry a vast range of equipment, tooling and fittings.  This includes a range of vacuum bottles, we produce all metal parts and do the complete assembly, including electrics and wiring. Also we provide a wide range of HF fittings and components to assist these bottles. We provide a repair and cleaning service for all these bottles, which includes a full strip down to remove dirt and debris and replacement parts if required. Other products we provide include light weight press tools for on-site convince, stainless steel tape pan tanks & stands, Test block valves, Insulator oil links, pumping valves, to name but a few.

Below is a full range of our services.

CNC Turning

Our CNC Turning section caters for all sizes from 2mm to 250mm diameter. For High volume, we offer bar feed up to 50mm diameter using files via CAD CAM. We also offer a range of semi CNC machines and manual machines.  

CNC Milling

Our CNC milling section can provide a diverse range of milling, using 3 axis machine using files via CAD CAM to 2 axis machine for second op works. We also offer a range of semi CNC and manual machines.  

Conventional Turning

Conventional turning lathes for the off’s. 

Conventional Milling

Conventional milling for small batch work.  

CAD CAM Programming

CAD CAM programming via the PC and drawings. 

Grinding

Surface grinding.  

Fabrication

 Our fabrication section can provide small to medium fabrications, welded or brazed constructions.  

Sheet Metal Fabrication

 Sheet metal fabrication service to provide a wide range of components using mild steel stainless steel, galvanised steels and more.  

Drilling

 All drilling requirements, whether it be one large hole or hundreds of small holes.   

Sawing

Square or angled sawing. 

Profiling

Our CNC milling machine can produce any profile or shape required.

Broaching

Keyways and slots.   

Welding and Brazing

Welding and brazing of any material.   

Assembly

 We can produce components and also assemble to produce a sub assembly if required.  

Maintenance and Repair

We provide a maintenance and repair service to make good worn out parts or replace them if not repairable. e.g. shafts, bushes, plugs, pins gears etc.  

Finishing a Service Treatments

An extensive network of approved suppliers for heat treatments, surface treatments and other processes.  

Casting Machining

Our lathe and milling sections can provide machining of aluminium, cast iron, steel and brass castings  

Tool Making

Small batch works or large scale production runs.
